Azam Nazeer Tarar dismisses rumours of early elections – SUCH TV

Federal Law Minister Azam Nazir Tarar has firmly dismissed the possibility of early elections, reaffirming the government’s commitment to completing its full term.

During a media briefing at the Parliament House, Tarar emphasized that while early elections might be a desire of opposition leaders, the government has no intention of deviating from the constitutional mandate.

“Elections will be held at the appointed time,” Tarar stated. He reiterated that the constitution mandates a five-year term for assemblies, and there are no current conditions necessitating early elections.

“Everything is going well, and God willing, the assemblies will complete their five-year term,” he added.

Addressing a question about Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader Omar Ayub’s allegations that the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) is spreading hatred between the army and the PTI, the law minister suggested the answer be sought from Ayub himself to substantiate his claims. He stressed the importance of maintaining national unity and avoiding divisive rhetoric.
