In a video message, Conrad Tribble, the Consul General of the United States Consulate General in Karachi, extended his enthusiastic support to the participants of the Inter-Provincial Women’s Softball Championship.
The tournament, organised by the Softball Federation of Pakistan, is set to commence this week in Karachi.
“Hey, this is Conrad Tribble of the American Consulate General in Karachi. Just wanted to send a shout out to all the women playing in the Inter-Provincial Women’s Softball Championships starting this week in Karachi,” Tribble announced.
“Softball and baseball are a big part of American sports culture, so we’re really happy to see that here in Pakistan. The Softball Federation of Pakistan has done a great job organising it,” Tribble remarked, underscoring the cultural significance of softball and baseball in the United States, where these sports are deeply embedded in the national sports landscape.

The consul general also highlighted the broader significance of the event in the context of global sports. “Baseball and softball are going to be in the Olympics in 2028 in my hometown of Los Angeles, so it’s great to see Pakistanis getting ready to participate in the Olympics in 2028 in softball,” he noted.
Tribble’s mention of the upcoming Olympic Games highlights the potential for Pakistani athletes to shine on the world stage.
As the Inter-Provincial Women’s Softball Championship kicks off in Karachi, Tribble conveyed his best wishes to all the teams participating in the tournament. “Go teams, may the best team win and play ball!” he cheered.
The opening ceremony of the championship will be held at KPT Football Stadium, Karachi on May 30, while the final of the championship will be played on June 1.
