Razzaq urges Pakistan to brace for impact against Afghanistan

Former Pakistan cricketer, Abdul Razzaq, expressed his concerns regarding Pakistan’s approach to the upcoming match against Afghanistan in the ongoing World Cup 2023 in India.

In a recent interview with a local media channel, Razzaq emphasized the need for Pakistan to brace themselves for a formidable challenge from the Afghan team.

“I think we have been scared of Afghanistan over the last two years. Afghanistan lost against Pakistan couple of times, despite being in a winning position, due to Naseem Shah. These things indicate that they are a good team,” said Razzaq.

The former all-rounder highlighted the boost in Afghanistan’s confidence, especially after their performance against India, where they showcased strong batting skills against the Indian bowling attack.

“Afghanistan’s confidence was boosted when they played against India and batted well against their bowling especially considering that it is better than that of England,” he concluded.

Afghanistan pulled off one of the greatest World Cup shocks on Sunday when they defeated defending champions England by 69 runs in New Delhi.

The Men in Green will face off against Australia at the M. Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bangalore on October 20th, and then they will lock horns against Afghanistan on October 23rd at M. A. Chidambaram Stadium, Chennai.
