Nawaz’s return a big test for judiciary: PTI | The Express Tribune

ISLAMABAD:

The Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) claimed on Saturday that the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz’s (PML-N) convicted supreme leader Nawaz Sharif’s homecoming was a result of a “covert deal,” saying it was a big test for the country’s judiciary.

The PML-N supremo is scheduled to return to Pakistan from the UK on October 21 after staying abroad for four years.

The party made it clear that the nation was closely watching judiciary’s attitude in the prevailing situation, saying that any “judicial protection” to “the convict,” would not be accepted at any cost.

The party urged the Chief Justice of Pakistan Qazi Faez Isa to keep an eye on the conduct of the subordinate courts and take timely measures to protect the sanctity and honour of the judiciary.
