Prince Harry is gearing up, and is even ready to throw himself at the feet of a man who holds his future, as well as the future of his children, in his hand—and Meghan’s not happy in the least. 

This entire back and forth has leaked via a well placed source that is well versed in the royal dynamic said to unfold the moment the Sussexes settle on British soil.

According to Closer, it has everything to do with rumors that Prince William will never sit at a table with Prince Harry without an apology towards him and Kate—and it appears the Duke of Sussex is ready to do just that but his wife isn’t so keen on him “throwing himself at his feet” for the chance at reconciliation. 

The insider explained this entire issue by saying, “Meghan understands why he wants to bury the hatchet. She absolutely supports that, but she doesn’t believe Harry should have to throw himself at William’s feet to make it happen.”

As it stands they say she “can’t stomach the idea of Harry totally swallowing all the things that have been done to them” and “pretending nothing ever happened; she doesn’t think that’s healthy, or the least bit fair.”

The same source also warns that behind the scenes she’s been telling Harry “if and when he makes peace with William, it needs to be for the right reasons, with a mutual sense of contrition.” They also admit that in her eyes they “both need to sit down, be adults about it, own their respective sides and actually hear each other out.”

Before signing off the source also said, “she thinks it would be remiss of Harry to apologise for things he’s not done wrong. And, if that means that this takes longer to happen, so be it.”

“She wants to see Harry play the long game and hold out until William is ready to acknowledge his part in things, otherwise she believes he’s signing up for more misery.”
