The last time Prince William and Prince Harry were in a room together was two years ago as they attended the funeral service of their uncle, Robert Fellowes. But they reportedly didn’t even look in each other’s direction.
King Charles seemed to have opened the doors for his younger son but William has no intentions of reconciling with Harry.
Although, the only one thing that the two brothers are on the same page is about their mother, Princess Diana. They both love and honour her in their work and the Diana Award is the only organisation that has both princes as its patron.
Hence, it begs the question of what would become of the 30th death anniversary of the beloved royal next year. According to royal author Phil Dampier, it’s is unlikely they’ll get together.
“William and Harry put aside their differences for the unveiling of the statue of their mother Princess Diana [five years ago], but things are much worse now,” he told Daily Mail.
He added that William would find it “very hard” to meet Harry, “even to honour Diana’s memory”. It is the perfect opportunity for the brothers to come together, but William’s heart is not in it.
“Friends tell me that, as far as he is concerned, Harry is the past, and he is only concerned about the future for his wife Catherine and their children George, Charlotte and Louis,” he said.
The future king has not taken Harry’s past antics lightly and he is not going to make a compromise on that so soon.
