Brad Pitt, though, is leading the Heart of the Beast, but his four-legged co-star is at the heart of an upcoming Paramount movie, whose safety in the film’s trailer ending is worrying the fans the most.
The Academy-winning actor, in a behind-the-scenes featurette, raved about Odin, a German Shepherd whose real name is Uber. “In our story it’s James and Odin in the Alaskan outback, which turns into a survival story.”
While the canine is beside him, Pitt, who is also serving as producer, said, “It’s really beautiful in the film how they work together and depend on each other.”
Beyond the partnership, the star shared that Uber often took the lead on set, and that following his lead and “improvising is really how we do scenes.”
Pitt even further went down to say the German Shepherd is “the most important piece to this story. And it’s been a surprisingly special experience.”
But the pertinent question, ever since the Heart of the Beast trailer was debuted, has led fans to worry over the fate of Odin.
But producer Richard Raymond, taking to X, assured fans, writing, “Everybody loves a dog. It’s about the only thing the whole world agrees on. So let me put your mind at ease right now: the dog does not die. You’re welcome.”
With the film shot in New Zealand, its logline reads “an intense adventure thriller that explores the unbreakable bond between a man and his best friend as they face their greatest battle yet.”
