Andy Cohen has revealed that his boyfriend, businessman Kevin Sobieski, has yet to watch a single episode of the Real Housewives franchise, despite dating the man who’s spent two decades as its executive producer and public face.
Cohen made the admission during an 5 August appearance on Today, where he joined Craig Melvin to mark 20 years of Real Housewives on Bravo and promote The Real Housewives Ultimate Girls Trip: Roaring 20th.
Asked directly whether Sobieski was “a Real Housewives kind of guy,” Cohen replied simply: “Never seen it.”
When Melvin pressed further, asking if he meant not one frame of the show, Cohen confirmed it with a laugh, adding that Sobieski’s algorithm was nonetheless slowly catching up.
“His algorithm is feeding him Housewives-related things because our phones listen to everything we say.”
Cohen was quick to note that the disconnect hasn’t caused any friction, telling Melvin: “He loves my kids and me, and that’s what’s important.”
Cohen and Sobieski went public with their relationship in June, after Cohen first confirmed he had a boyfriend on his SiriusXM show Andy Cohen Live.
Some reports have suggested Cohen has been deliberately keeping Sobieski at a distance from the franchise’s built-in drama, with one source telling Reality Tea, “Andy isn’t hiding Kevin. He’s protecting him.”
Cohen, who executive produces the Real Housewives franchise and hosts Watch What Happens Live, is father to two children, Ben and Lucy, whom he says Sobieski has embraced warmly since the relationship became public.
