Alec Baldwin and Hilaria Baldwin sparked another round of viral speculation about their family after a playful Instagram video posted Monday, August 3. 

In the clip, set to a version of Olivia Newton-John’s Hopelessly Devoted to You, Hilaria sits poolside in a pink bikini and mouths “I would do anything for you” to her husband, only for Alec to respond with a grin, “Have another baby with me.” 

Hilaria’s expression shifts immediately, she pushes the camera away and hurries out of frame. 

The couple captioned the joint post, “When ‘I’d do anything for you’ meets reality with its terms and conditions.”

While clearly staged for laughs, the video revives a question the couple has fielded repeatedly. 

Alec and Hilaria, married since 2012, share seven children together, daughters Carmen, María and Ilaria, and sons Rafael, Leonardo, Romeo and Eduardo, in addition to Alec’s 30-year-old daughter Ireland, whom he shares with ex-wife Kim Basinger. 

Speaking to PEOPLE in February 2025, the couple discussed the recurring topic candidly. 

Hilaria said Alec is “always asking me for more kids,” while admitting “I don’t really want one.” 

Alec explained that the urge tends to hit whenever their youngest starts approaching toddlerhood, joking, “Every now and then, when the baby gets older and grows up to be about 2, I look at [Hilaria] and I go, ‘Time to have another.'” 

Hilaria’s response at the time: “They’re so cute, but my body’s really tired.”

The couple previously invited cameras into their home for TLC’s reality series The Baldwins, which documented the day-to-day chaos of raising their large family alongside their pets. 

The show was canceled after one season due to low viewership. 

Alec has joked in the past about the glamorous alternative life he and Hilaria might be living without seven kids in the mix, cappuccinos on a yacht, dinner with Steven Spielberg, before adding that he wouldn’t trade his actual life for it. 

“This is my reality. I wouldn’t change anything.”
