The Jumanji game is back for eager fans as Sony releases the first official trailer of Jumanji: Open World on Wednesday, July 29, 2026.
As the trailer showed dangerous creatures and animals have entered the real world and heroes are once again together to stop the havoc, along with the pulse-pounding action. Starring Dwayne Johnson, Jack Black and others, it promises a healthy dose of humour.
This time the bigger twist has entered the game as the synopsis stated, “Our heroes have escaped the ever-changing jungles of Jumanji before, but this time the game comes to us — as Jumanji breaks free of its console, unleashing its chaos into our world.”
The film brings back the iconic cast including Dwayne Johnson as Dr. Smolder Bravestone, Jack Black as Professor Sheldon “Shelly” Oberon, Kevin Hart as Franklin “Mouse” Finbar, Karen Gillan as Ruby Roundhouse, Awkwafina as Ming Fleetfoot, and Nick Jonas as Jefferson “Seaplane” McDonough, along with others.
It is worth mentioning that the upcoming movie is set to release in theaters on the Christmas holiday, 25 December 2026.
Previously, Dwayne made a surprising revelation while speaking with People Magazine as he admitted that he took most meaningful prop from the film set. He said, “There’s a big scene where the dice are slow rolling, and it’s slow motion and it’s so dramatic. One half of those dice — Die? Dice? — my character wears in the film.”
“And I took that home. Props, they’re always amazing, but you gotta give that s— back,” the actor revealed.
