Gracie Abrams shared a rare update about her relationship with Paul Mescal, giving fans a small look into the life they have built together away from the spotlight.
The singer spoke about the actor while appearing on The New York Times podcast Popcast.
The singer revealed that the actor helped write a song called Imaginary Friend for her upcoming album Daughter From Hell and said working together was a special experience.
Talking about their home life, Gracie said, “We have a very creative home with friends who are so good at what they do, and everyone feels happy to share that with one another.”
The couple, however, have been together for about two years but have mostly kept their relationship private.
Gracie explained that while she values privacy, she does not want to feel like she has to hide her happiness.
“I don’t like the feeling of hiding. I also love privacy where it feels like the right thing,” she said.
The Close to You hitmaker also shared that their relationship gives her comfort despite online criticism.
“I think that’s a part of my life that brings me so much peace and joy, and I’m not going to pretend like that’s not true, but I also think it’s not like an open door policy.”
Gracie also praised their songwriting session, saying, “It was so fun to write together.”
Gracie Abrams and Paul Mescal made their red carpet debut earlier this year after keeping their romance mostly private.
