NEWYou can now listen to Fox News articles!

The D.C. Defenders secured the 2025 UFL championship in dominant fashion, toppling the Michigan Panthers 58-34 in the title game.

It was the first UFL championship for D.C. and now the reigning champions look to defend their place on the throne.

But will they be able to beat out Birmingham — an organization that won the spring football championship in 2022, 2023 and 2024?

Here are the latest odds at DraftKings Sportsbook as of May 13.

Holding Steady: For most of the UFL season, D.C. has been playing like a team that would easily defend its spring football title. Then in Week 7, the Defenders got blown out by the Kings 30-13. In that matchup, D.C. QB Jordan Ta’amu had 353 passing yards and two touchdowns. However, he walked away with two interceptions and was sacked four times. FOX Sports National College Football Analyst RJ Young called D.C.’s effort “unusually careless” and moved the Defenders to No. 3 from No. 1 in his power rankings. Their odds to win the championship also lengthened slightly, shifting to +110 from -110 after the loss.

Comeback Kings?: Could the Louisville Kings end up having a real shot at winning it all at the end of the season? After demolishing the reigning champs in Week 7, their odds surged to +1500 from +2500. Not only did they move up the oddsboard, but they also took a leap up RJ Young’s rankings, moving to No. 4 from No. 6. The Week 7 win — a victory in which they scored 27 unanswered points — snapped a three-game skid and put the Kings back into the playoff hunt.
