Deputy Prime Minister Muhammad Ishaq Dar has expressed that hope that Iran and the United States will continue with positive spirit to achieve durable peace and prosperity for entire region.Announcing the end of Islamabad Talks today, he said that it is imperative for both parties to uphold their commitment to ceasefire.
The Deputy Prime Minister, briefing the media told that along with the Chief of Defence Forces and Army Chief Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir, he helped mediate several rounds of “intense and constructive” negotiations between the two sides.
He reaffirmed that Pakistan would continue to play its role to facilitate engagement and dialogue between Iran and the United States in the days to come.
Ishaq Dar thanked both the countries for responding to the call made by the Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif for an immediate ceasefire in the region as well as for accepting Prime Minister’s invitation for holding peace talks in Islamabad.
