The Sindh government has taken an important decision to make the security of the airport effective and has banned the entry of more than two people at pick and drop points.
The Secretary Home, IG Sindh and other officials were briefed in a meeting on security threats chaired by the provincial interior minister. Strict measures were stressed in the meeting in the context of past incidents.
The interior minister directed that comprehensive SOPs be formulated to reduce rush at the airport and ensure foolproof security. He said that only one to two people will be allowed at pick and drop.
The meeting also issued instructions for security audit of all sensitive installations, indiscriminate crackdown on display of weapons and full implementation of the National Action Plan.
