Tickets for the semifinals and final of the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup went on sale Tuesday, organisers confirmed in a press release.
Fans can now book seats for:
Semi-final 1 – March 4
Semi-final 2 – March 5
Final – March 8
Venue Details
Semi-final 1 will follow a floating venue arrangement and will be held either at R. Premadasa Stadium in Colombo or Eden Gardens in Kolkata.
Semi-final 2 is scheduled to take place at Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai.
Pakistan Qualification Scenario
If Pakistan national cricket team qualify for the semifinals, they will play Semi-final 1 in Colombo on March 4.
If Pakistan do not qualify, but Sri Lanka national cricket team qualify and are not drawn against India national cricket team, then Sri Lanka will play Semi-final 1 in Colombo.
In all other scenarios — including a Sri Lanka vs India matchup — Semi-final 1 will be staged in Kolkata.
Final Venue
The final will be played in Colombo if Pakistan qualify. Otherwise, it will take place in Ahmedabad.
Organisers clarified that if fans purchase tickets for a venue that ultimately does not host Semi-final 1 or the final, the tickets will be fully refunded.
The knockout stage promises high drama as teams battle for a place in the March 8 showpiece final.
