The Greater Noida Authority will launch a new housing scheme after Makar Sankranti, offering 90 ready flats for middle-class families in Sector Omicron-1A via e-auction
Under the scheme, the reserve price for an 82 square metre flat has been fixed at Rs 72 lakh, while the reserve price for a 58 square metre flat stands at Rs 49.11 lakh.
Buying a home in the NCR has become increasingly difficult for middle-class families as property prices have soared. Flats that once cost a few lakhs are now selling for crores, pushing home ownership out of reach for many.
Amid this surge, the Greater Noida Authority is set to roll out a major residential scheme aimed at middle-class homebuyers. After Makar Sankranti, the authority is fully prepared to launch a new plan for ready-to-move flats in its multi-storey residential society in Sector Omicron-1A.
First Phase To Offer 90 Flats
According to the authority, 90 flats will be made available in the first phase. For the first time, these flats will be allotted through an e-auction.
The property department has completed all preparations, and details of the scheme may be announced at any time after January 14.
E-Auction To Begin This Month
Ravi Kumar NG, CEO of the Greater Noida Authority, said the flat scheme in the multi-storey society will begin this month, with all formalities already completed.
Vacant flats in Sector Omicron-1 and Omicron-1A will be allotted in phases through the e-auction process.
From Lucky Draw To E-Auction
Officials said a 20-storey residential society was developed in Sector Omicron-1 and Omicron-1A keeping middle-class requirements in mind. As per a Hindustan report, flats of 58 square metres and 82 square metres have been constructed here.
Earlier, these flats were allotted through a lucky draw. At present, around 350 flats of both sizes remain vacant in Sector Omicron-1A. The authority has now decided to allot these vacant units via e-auction, a move that has received board approval.
Phase-Wise Allotment Plan
In the first phase, 90 flats measuring 82 square metres will be offered after Makar Sankranti. Subsequently, the scheme for 58 square metre flats will be launched. All remaining flats will be allotted gradually in similar phases.
Under the scheme, the reserve price for an 82 square metre flat has been fixed at Rs 72 lakh, while the reserve price for a 58 square metre flat stands at Rs 49.11 lakh. The flat will be allotted to the highest bidder, with reserve prices set after a detailed market survey.
