An anti-terrorism court (ATC) in Rawalpindi on Tuesday issued non-bailable arrest warrants for Aleema Khan, sister of former prime minister and PTI founder Imran Khan, in connection with the November 26 protest case.
The court directed the police to arrest her and present her before the court on Wednesday.
Aleema Khan was scheduled to be indicted in the case today but failed to appear.
Judge Amjad Ali Shah rejected her request for exemption from personal appearance and subsequently issued non-bailable arrest warrants against her.
A case had been registered against the former prime minister’s sister at Sadiqabad police station of the city.
