Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar chaired a committee meeting today to review laws and policies concerning tampered and confiscated vehicles.
A sub-committee was assigned the task of formulating a comprehensive mechanism for their disposal. Following extensive deliberations, the sub-committee finalized a Customs General Order (CGO), which was subsequently approved by the Deputy Prime Minister.
Senator Dar emphasized that the decision would streamline the disposal process, ensure greater transparency, improve efficiency, and generate optimal revenue from the auction of confiscated vehicles.
The meeting was attended by the Minister for Law and Justice, Special Assistant to the Prime Minister Tariq Bajwa, the Chairman of the Federal Board of Revenue, and representatives of the Attorney General’s Office and the Ministry of Law and Justice.
