The AirBlue flight PA-251 to Skardu, scheduled to depart from Islamabad at 11 a.m., was abruptly cancelled on Friday, causing concern among passengers.
AirBlue officials initially could not provide a clear reason for the sudden cancellation.
The situation became tense as PIA had already cancelled its flight to Skardu earlier.
Passengers gathered outside the AirBlue office to request refunds for their tickets.
Many expressed frustration, saying that the weather appeared clear, yet the cancellation was not announced in advance.
Later, AirBlue officials confirmed that the Skardu flight was cancelled due to bad weather and added that the flight would not be able to operate today because of the adverse conditions.
Officials announced that passengers are being given refunds for tickets.
