The most abundant compound in ginger, 6-gingerol, has been shown to aid in the removal of damaged cells, restrict blood supply to tumours and inhibit the growth and spread of cancer cells.

Research further suggests that ginger may positively affect lipid profiles, including HDL (good cholesterol), LDL (bad cholesterol) and triglycerides, which could indirectly reduce the risk of breast cancer.
