The rapper, 27, spoke up Thursday to defend Justin and Hailey Bieber’s marriage after fans couldn’t help but comment on a cheeky Instagram video where Justin kissed the rapper on the cheek.
When a social media user tried to stir the pot by claiming Justin “don’t be smiling like that” with Hailey, Red wasted no time shutting it down.
“Yes he do!!” she clapped back, making it crystal clear she’s not here for any drama.
Of course, the internet being the internet, some commenters kept pushing the narrative that Justin, 31, looked “happier” with Red than he ever does with Hailey.
Others even alleged that he no longer “genuinely smile[s]” and desperately needed that “night out.” Red, wisely, didn’t feed into the extra noise and stayed focused on the good vibes, captioning her video, “my two personalities. thank for comin friend @justinbieber.”
Justin himself posted the same adorable clips on his own account, and guess who showed some love in the comments? None other than Hailey Bieber, dropping multiple heart-eye emojis like a supportive queen.
It turns out Hailey was likely right there with them during the night out too.
Justin rocked the same oversized tan pants and green beanie in photos snapped with Hailey earlier that evening as they left Alba restaurant in West Hollywood. Hailey, for her part, served looks in a belted green jacket, black bike shorts, sunglasses, and ballet flats — casual yet effortlessly chic.
While Justin looked a bit stoic in those paparazzi shots, it didn’t happen too long after concerns had popped up about the singers well-being.
An unnamed source told The Hollywood Reporter that the singer was “lost” and lacking people around him who could say “no” when needed.
But Justin’s rep was quick to squash the rumors, telling Page Six, “As Justin forges his own way forward, these unnecessary stories and inaccurate assumptions will continue,” calling the chatter nothing more than “clickbait stupidity.”
