Cher has also left her Malibu home in the wake of the Franklin Fire.

The fire that engulfed the coastal city on December 9 spread across 4,000 acres, endangering Cher’s home as well among others.

“Cher was required to evacuate her home and did so in the very early hours of Tuesday morning,” a rep for the pop star told People Magazine after The New York Times broke the news about her evacuation on December 10.

“She thankfully is safe,” her rep added.

Other celebrities who reside in Malibu Dick Van Dyke and Mira Sorvino evacuated upon the start of the Southern California natural disaster.

However, Van Dyke also revealed that one of his pets was left behind.

“Arlene and I have safely evacuated with our animals except for Bobo escaped as we were leaving. We’re praying he’ll be ok and that our community in Serra Retreat will survive these terrible fires,” wrote the legendary entertainer, who turns 99 on December 13.

On December 10, Mira Sorvino also informed her fans about her evacuation in a post on X.

“All my Malibu friends and neighbors I pray that you are safe. We evacuated in the middle of the night, kids and pets all accounted for! Scary times!!” the Romy and Michele’s High School Reunion star, 57, wrote.

The place is still a red-zone area since the Franklin Fire, which forced evacuation orders for over 20,000 residents.

On Wednesday, Dec. 11, officials said they were hopeful that the fires would settle down as the weather moved out of the red flag warning zone.

“We’re far better off this morning than we were in the last 30-plus hours,” said Malibu Mayor Doug Stewart, per CNN.

Added Los Angeles County Fire Chief Anthony Marrone: “Up until this point, it’s been a wind-driven fire. If the wind changes direction, we’re going to have the fire moving into new areas.”
