Keke Palmer reflected on her past roles and acknowledged her work as a child actor paved the way for her success.
Recently the actress made an appearance on The Toast, and spoke about the different experiences she had while working for two major networks, Disney and Nickelodeon.
“Disney is really amazing when it comes to, not only the storytelling you see on screen, but the storytelling within the company,” the Jump In actress shared.
“They are storytelling through marketing, through their employees.”
Palmer further expressed that the network made her feel like she was needed and had to be a part of the show for it to work.
When discussing Nickelodeon, the actress and singer highlighted their focus on monetary value.
The 31-year-old actress revealed that while they were paid well, there was less enthusiasm toward the work.
“It was like ‘Come in and get this check.’ It wasn’t about making it necessarily exciting.”
She continued, appreciating the show that made her a household name.
“The show that put Keke Palmer on the map was True Jackson, VP,” she shared.
The Hands Free singer claimed that her life had completely changed after being a lead on the show.
