ISLAMABAD – Mahnum Kabir, wife of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader Zain Qureshi, confirmed safe return after an alleged abduction late Wednesday.
Mahnum Kabir took to social media platform X, where she thanked everyone for the support she received. Mehrbano Qureshi, PTI leader and daughter of Shah Mahmood, also took to social media to post a picture of her sister-in-law, expressing gratitude to everyone for their prayers.
PTI leaders, journalists, and activists reported that Mahnum Kabir was allegedly kidnapped by unidentified armed men who blocked her vehicle and kidnapped her.
In her statement, Mehrbano mentioned that her family had been facing threats for over a year and a half but remained resilient in the face of intimidation. She implied that the abduction was an underhanded tactic following previous failed attempts to intimidate them.
The incident has raised concerns about security and safety for political figures and their families in the region.
