Cabinet approves establishment of PM’s Relief Fund for Palestine & Lebanon – SUCH TV



The Federal Cabinet has approved the establishment of the Prime Minister’s Relief Fund for Palestine and Lebanon to help the people affected by Israeli barbarism in Palestine and Lebanon.

The approval was granted at a meeting of the Federal Cabinet, which met in Islamabad today with Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif in the chair.

The Cabinet also issued necessary instructions to the State Bank of Pakistan to open an account for this purpose. Minister for Planning Ahsan Iqbal will supervise the relief operations for Palestine and Lebanon.

The meeting was briefed about the implementation of e-office in federal ministries and departments. It was told that Pakistan’s position in the United Nations E-Governance Development Index has improved by 14 ranks as a result of government’s e-governance implementation measures. It was said that the implementation of e-office is underway in all 40 divisions of the federal government, while this process has been completed in a few ministries.

The Prime Minister directed further improvement in the implementation of e-office and instructed to review progress in this regard after two weeks.

The Cabinet also validated the agreement on subsidies in the field of fishing in light of the decisions of the World Trade Organization.

Besides, signing of various agreements and MoUs were also allowed.
