The Allahabadi Samosa Centre near the Satna bus stand in Madhya Pradesh has gained popularity among locals for its affordable and delicious samosas, offering four pieces with tomato chutney and onions for just Rs 10, or Rs 15 with a plate of chholey.
The Allahabadi Samosa Center, known for its small-sized mattar-dal samosas, sells over 400 plates each day. Owner Vikash Gupta, who has studied up to Class 12, has leveraged his business skills and the irresistible taste of the samosas to earn more than Rs 4,000 per day.
Talking to News18, Vikash Gupta said” “My samosas are popular among students, and my stall is the first stop for those alighting at the Satna bus stand.”
While the samosa business is part of his family’s ancestral heritage, he manages the stall on his own.
“I have been setting up my samosa cart here for the last seven years. My stall remains open from 8 AM to 4-5 PM. Initially, the cart didn’t have any name, but when the small samosas gained recognition in the entire city, I named it ‘Allahabadi Samosa Centre’,” Gupta added.
