Pakistan likely playing XI for World Cup clash against Bangladesh

Pakistan cricket team is gearing up for a crucial match against Bangladesh in the ICC Cricket World Cup 2023, which is set to take place in Kolkata on Tuesday.

The outcome of this match holds immense significance for Pakistan, as they must secure a victory to keep their hopes alive in the tournament. Considering the high stakes, the team management is contemplating multiple changes to their lineup.

After overcoming a knee injury, Fakhar Zaman is now fit and available for selection. He is expected to replace Imam-ul-Haq.

Shadab Khan is facing fitness concerns as he didn’t bowl during the practice session on Monday. This is linked to a head injury he sustained in the match against South Africa, which seems to be affecting his overall well-being.

Furthermore, there is speculation that Salman Ali Agha might be included in the final XI, potentially taking the place of Mohammad Nawaz.

Hassan Ali was ruled out of the South Africa game due to illness. Consequently, Mohammad Wasim Jnr filled in for Hassan Ali in the previous match and is expected to retain his spot in the playing XI, thereby keeping Hasan Ali out of the lineup.

Pakistan’s expected playing XI:

Fakhar Zaman, Abdullah Shafique, Babar Azam (C), Mohammad Rizwan (wk), Saud Shakeel, Iftikhar Ahmed, Salman Ali Agha, Usama Mir, Shaheen Afridi, Mohammad Wasim Jr, Haris Rauf

Pakistan squad for World Cup:
