Lt Gen Akhtar Nawaz Satti appointed new FPSC Chairman

ISLAMABAD – Lieutenant General Akhtar Nawaz Satti has been picked for the role of chairman of Federal Public Service Commission.

A report shared by Daily Jang said the three star army officer will head federal agency responsible for recruiting civil servants and bureaucrats.

It said President Asif Ali Zardari approved appointment of Lt Gen Satti on the recommendation of Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, and he will assume the role after retiring. The coveted position of FPSC head was vacant for a year, preventing the Central Selection Board from convening during this time.
